Free Printable--Family Slogan
I'm going to be honest; As much as I'd like to say that we have the perfect little Leave it to Beaver family, the truth is that though we are pretty awesome at a lot of things, lately there has been a whole lot of yelling and fighting going on and it's been making me CRAZY! So, for Family Home Evening (what's that?-- one night, we decided to come up with a family slogan and family motto to help us define what was important to us as a family this year; we hung it on the inside of our front door so we see it everyday, and repeat it together every so often to remind us what we're working towards. The kids seem to enjoy the ritual; And, yes, it does seem to be helping!
So, in case your mostly Leave it to Beaver family still needs a little tweaking too, here is our family slogan in hopes it might help you:
(feel free to copy & print or share!)
The family motto will be posted at another time...

Cheap, Easy, DIY chore charts
Magnetic Chore Charts
Super easy folks!
1. Buy cookie sheets from dollar store
2. Spray Paint black (or any color you choose--you could even Modge Podge scrapbook paper on it if you want to get all fancy-like...) & let dry.
3. Scroll through the fonts on your computer (I used Word) and find your favorite font. Type the words you want to use ("to do", "done", etc.). Enlarge them to the size you want them on the finished project & print it out.
4. Use craft paint of choice & small, stiff brush and paint the words as you see them on your paper.
5. Done--yep, that's it folks, fast & easy!
Here is the final product:
* We just nailed them to our wall and touched up the nail with the black paint so it doesn't show. And yes, using a ruler may be wise so you don't end up with crooked lines like me ;)
***With these chore charts, we use the most adorable wooden chore magnets found here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/AbbiesHouse --She has chore magnets for every chore you can imagine & so reasonably priced too--we love them!
~~You could make your own chore magnets out of those cute metal bottle tops (with stickers on top), or really anything you can imagine and stick a magnet to; I chose to buy mine from AbbiesHouse because it was cheaper than just the cost of any plain magnets I could find, and are super cute too!
